I add turmeric to boiled milk (sweetened with sugar – though honey would be better). It tastes amazing. The turmeric gives it a creamy consistency and mild flavour which is not spicy at all. I an Asian and so used to spices but I share the recipe with my English friend and she is now hooked on it. She’s been known to go for seconds. That says it all : )

P.S. Thanks for the recipe. I suffer from FM but I think I am developing arthritis in my hands, so came to look 4 natural ways of treating it.

I don’t know, I imagine it would be different for each person and their condition. Please consult your health practitioner as I’m not a doctor. Thanks for understanding.

How long do you have to drink this for to notice any benefits?

You’re welcome! I am in the middle of a site redesign, so my apologies for the confusion. Let me know what you think of the choc-avo ice cream.

I don’t know the answer to that. It’s probably different for each person depending on their condition, etc. Best to consult your health professional…
If you make it let me know what you think.

You really wont taste the tumeric. I use it all the time, especially if using ginger or sweet fruits like banana as they’re pretty strong flavours, tumeric is not.
However, the one side effect I get is that I get a very slight odor reminiscent of curry powder if I sniff my armpit without any deo on! But i do mean ‘very slight’.
Tumeric is great for arthritis, or any inflammatory condition (cancer included) and i use them alternately with expensive Omega 3 capsules, for my intensive gym classes.

I use a smoothie called a green cleansing smoothie . It contains one packed cup of spinach , one large carrot , half of a banana , half of a cup of kale Andy half of an apple.

What do you mean? I haven’t made this yet-is there an issue with the ingredients?

  16. blenditandMendit says:

If they’re young I don’t peel them. Like you, if the peel looks tough and discolored, I peel it. I don’t know what the nutritional makeup of the thin peel is.

  17. chavitavb says:

Do you peel the carrot? I always peel it to get rid of that weird dirty outer layer. Does that lose the nutrition
